May 2024 Dream It, Be It: Discovering Your Dreams Session
In May 2024, Soroptimist International of Toms River hosted an inspiring Dream It, Be It session, bringing together local girls for an empowering workshop on Discovering Your Dreams. This engaging event provided young women with the tools to explore their passions, set meaningful goals, and take the first steps toward their future careers.
Participants took part in vision board activities, where they visualized their dreams using creative collages of images and words that represented their aspirations. Through interactive discussions and mentorship from Soroptimist of Toms River members, attendees gained valuable insight into career planning, self-confidence, and overcoming obstacles.

Soroptimist Sigma Club Joins Ocean County College’s "Clubs for a Cause" to Fight Hunger – April 2024
In April 2024, the Soroptimist Sigma Club proudly participated in Ocean County College’s "Clubs for a Cause" event, uniting with student organizations to combat hunger. Held on campus, this impactful event raised awareness and collected donations to support food insecurities.
Our Sigma Club members played an active role by volunteering and engaging students in interactive activities to promote the importance of fighting hunger.
Supporting Girls in Zimbabwe: Soroptimist International of Toms River & Sigma Club Fundraiser for the Nobuntu Pad Bank
In October 2024, Soroptimist International of Toms River (SITR) and the Sigma Club proudly joined forces to support girls in Zimbabwe by organizing a fundraiser and menstrual product drive for the Nobuntu Pad Bank. This initiative, held in collaboration with the internationally acclaimed female a cappella group Nobuntu, aimed to provide essential menstrual products to young girls facing period poverty.
